Mr. Davidowski's Obituary

An award is being established by MLHS in Mr. Dave's name, which is certainly an appropriate tribute to him given his 39 years of highly distinguished math teaching at our alma mater. Anthony F. "Dave" Davidowski, 77, of Mt. Bethel, Pa., passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born: January 17, 1927, in Reading, Pa., a son of the late Anthony S. and Stella Barcz Davidowski.

Personal:
He and his wife, the former Annette Reimer, were married June 7, 1952, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Plainfield Township, Pa. He served as head of the Mathematics department of Mt. Lakes High School, Mt. Lakes, N.J. for 39 years and was named Distinguished Teacher in 1961 by Princeton University. He attended Kutztown University for his undergraduate degree and earned a master's degree from Penn State University. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He enjoyed gardening and working in his orchard. Memberships: He was a member of First Reformed Church in Boonton, N.J., where he served on the consistory. Survivors: his wife; a daughter, Kim Bedard and her husband, Charles, of Easton; a son, Dr. Thomas and his wife, Evelyn, of Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa.; two granddaughters, Erin and Meghan Bedard; a great-granddaughter, Brianna; four sisters, Mary Marabella of West Lawn, Pa., Celia Snyder&nb! sp; of Wyomissing Hill, Pa., Stella Dankleberger and Irene Kozlowski, both of Reading, Pa. A sister, Sophie Tandlmayer, died earlier.

Services:
Services were held at the convenience of the family with private burial in Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township, Pa. Services were under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street, Wind Gap, Pa.
