the past (gulp!) 40 years...
How often I have quoted our yearbook theme during the past (gulp!) 40 years. We've certainly collected a lot of "yesterdays" since then and tomorrow is still only a vision.
Having retired as a full time middle school math teacher after 32 years, I am now subbing in my former district, Haverford Township, for benefits. In addition I teach two math prep courses at Delaware County Community College. This fall I will add a third job that I can't wait to take on. Jim and I are awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild by July 4. Some fireworks!!
We have been married 32 years and live in West Chester, PA. Jamie and husband Tim, married in 2003, live nearby…all the better for babysitting. Scott is 25 and lives and works in the area as well. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Larry and Jackie Blake are practically neighbors in Chadd's Ford.
As you can see, Scott and I had a wonderful time visiting family on Orcas Island, WA, last summer.
I keep in touch with Lynn Johnson Houze, but unfortunately we don't get to visit very often. I haven't made it out to Cody, yet, so we are looking forward to our reunion visit.
Jim and I are taking a long overdue excursion when we join my uncle and cousins for a cruise to the Caribbean this fall. Though we've traveled to Minnesota where my sister Nancy lives, and to Seattle to see brother Scott and family, we have never ventured out on the seas. I must admit our 10 years of delightful family vacations on Long Beach Island kept the wanderlust at bay while the kids were little. Now, I find myself day-tripping to Ocean City, NJ when I need a day at the beach!
LIFE IS GOOD!!
Best wishes to all, Kerrin Desmond Wertz
