Dear Classmates
After living in Cincinnati for ten years, Marilyn and I moved to Vero Beach, Florida five years ago to be closer to my father who lived in Delray Beach, about 100 miles further south. We spent just about every other weekend with him-golfing, going to dinner dances and enjoying life. It was great!
In March of this year, following a brief illness, Dad passed on. He was 9 days shy of his 89th birthday. We miss him. My mother did well until she had a massive stroke which severely disabled her in 1998. She died about two years later.
I am practicing business law with a local law firm. It keeps me out of trouble at least some of the time. Late last year we decided to join a golf club and a yacht club (for dancing). Now we are finding out what they and Vero Beach have to offer. And to get around town, we bought a new red T-bird. "We'll have fun, fun fun…"
Some Mt. Lakers have found Vero Beach. Dr. Luippold lived here. When buying our house, our attorney here asked where we were from. I said "Mt. Lakes, NJ, a small town 30 miles west of New York City." He said "So am I." Thinking he was a wise guy, I asked where in Mt. Lakes he had grown up. He said "Pocono Road!"
We hope to make it to the reunion and see you there.
Best regards, Doug Case
