Just yesterday...
40 years...Seems like just yesterday I was getting Dr Peterson's blood pressure up over 200 just walking in the door.
When Don Clarke and Jimmie Cianci called me about doing a site for the class of 65 I made them come all the way to Jersey and buy me a cheeseburger and fries with gravy at Paul's to give them the OK I was going to give them anyway. I miss all the Friday and Saturday nights sitting in a booth with a piece of mile high cream pie and "Monk" playing bouncer at the counter.
After High School I attended FDU in Madison while I also worked as a graphic designer for Studio One in Newark. In 1968 I married Barbara Borcherdt (MLHS 66), had my first son, James, and started my first art studio, Chelsea Graphics.
Over the next rather fogged out years (remember that was the 70's & 80's man!) there was a divorce, re-marriage, another son Alex, another divorce and my present wife, Marge and 2 outstanding daughters, Jessica and Colleen. a bunch of motorcycles, many fine cars I wish I had now, and a couple more art studios in there somewhere ending up with RW Dunnican Designs.
Marge and the girls are my reason to get up every day. That and my granddaughter Cassidy from son James who lives in Mine Hill in a house I could not afford the doorknobs on. The kid made it big and I am very proud.
I spend most of my time sitting in front of several computers creating art, advertising, packaging, web sites, talking with Eddie Osterland (MLHS 64) and Steve Guyette (MLHS 64), fixing everybody's computers and answering questions they could have found answers to in the HELP menu.
Summers are spent in my 30' trailer at Sea Pirate Campground on the Jersey Shore working on my laptop and avoiding my client meetings using a cell phone and WIFI connection.
Don and Jim gave me chance to have some real fun doing this site and I hope you all get back in touch with your memories here! I think we should have another reunion for the 45th so I still have memory when I get there. Get your opinions to Don and keep in touch with me.
